Please note that Brotli compression is enabled as standard, and for most sites is the superior compression option. The option for GZIP is available, though, should you prefer it.
First, log in to your control panel.
From the 'Software' section, select the 'Optimize Website' option.![]()
There are 3 settings available:
Disabled just serves your files as they are.
Compress All Content applies GZIP compression to all files before they are sent to website visitors - this reduces the download time. The browser will decompress them again as they are received - this is the most common setting choice.
Compress the specified MIME types only - this is for niche cases where some files should be compressed but others shouldn't.
Select 'Compress All Content' then click the blue 'Update Settings' button.
